BIGGER GRANT TO AUSTRALIA
Total Of £3OOO Approved (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Nov. 30. An increase of £llOO, to make a total of £3OOO. as a grant to Australia was approved by the New Zealand Rugby Union council today. The grant is to assist Australian Rugby which Incurred considerable expense this season choosing and outfitting the team that toured New Zealand.
The next Australian visit to this country could be in 1964. but nothing has yet been finalised. Also tn 1964 a New Zealand Junior team may go to Australia.
August 10 was confirmed as the date for the Inter-Island match at Christchurch. Messrs T. C. Morrison and C. K. Saxton were appointed delegates to the International Rugby Board. New Zealand's previous delegates were Messrs C. S. Hogg and Morrison.
