Rugby ENGLISH TOUR
N.Z. To Pay All Fares (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov, 30. The New Zealand Rugby Union will pay the full travel costs of the England team to visit this country next season, the chairman (Mr T. C. Morrison) told a council meeting today. The England party will comprise 23 players and four officials. but It is understood a number of other officials will also be coming at their own expense.
England has accepted all of New Zealand's arrangements and the itinerary, as well as the New Zealand suggestion that this country appoint the referees for the three provincial matches, against Hawke’s Bay. Wellington and Otago. A panel of referees will be submitted to England to choose the referee or referees for the two tests. Charges for the tour were fixed by the council as:— Tests.—Covered stands 30s, uncovered permanent stands 255. temporary stands and enclosures 20s. to the ground 6s, children 2s.
Other Matches. Covered stands 255, uncovered 20s. temporary 15s, ground 6s. children 2s.
Trials. —Covered stands 10s, ground 4s. children Is. The date for the first trial was changed from May 8 to May 9. The second trial will be on May 11.
