Match With Waikato

Although five players will be in Auckland for the third test match on Saturday, Canterbury will still field a strong side for the game against Waikato at Lancaster Park. The 15 players chosen are all seasoned representatives.

In the absence of D. J. Graham and B. A. Watt, the team will be captained by T. H. Moynihan, with W. F. McCormick as vice-captain.

Linwood H.S. Wins Referees’ Cup The Linwood High School team won the Referees’ Golden Jubilee Cup for 1962, Mr L. S. Kirk told the management committee of the Canterbury Rugby Union last night The team, he said, had fulfilled all conditions of the contest and was to be congratulated on its effort.
