Press Assn. —Copyright) NEWPORT (Rhode Mandi, August 31 A rival skipper, and one of the world’s great sailmakers is giving assistance to the Australian challengers for the America’s Cup yacht race He is Mr E. Hood, of Massachusetts, who last week wa< helmsman of Nefertiti, which vied unsuccessfully with Weatherly to defend the cup at Newport next month. Hood was on board the Australian boat. Gretel. yesterday as the yacht was sailed with two new jibs designed by the sailmaker.
