Snooker UNDEFEATED RECORD
K. Murphy Wins N.Z. Title (N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL. August 31. K. Murphy, of Canterbury, one of the youngest plavers in the championship, won the New Zealand amateur snooker title tonight with an undefeated record. Murphy’s opponent in the final was another young Canterbury player. B Kirkness. who put up a great fight against his more experienced opponent. The final went the full distance each player taking a frame in turn until the fifth and last which was won by Murphy. 63-35.
