New Track Condemned
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Aug. 21
The Auckland centre decided tonight to ask the New Zealand association to Investigate a new venue for the next national athletics championship meeting because of “the unsuitability of the track,” at the Caledonian Ground, Dunedin. A new all-weather track with a hard surface was laid at the ground a year ago. The Western Suburbs club said that athletes from the club had used the track and found it to he “uaeless” for sprinting and hurdling events.
