TAX CUTS IN BUDGET
P.A.Y.E. Tables Altered (N.Z Press Association) WELLINGTON. August 13. The Cabinet today discussed legislation to authorise the tax reductions listed in the Budget The cuts apply from October 1 Officials believe the legislation will be introduced to Parliament late this week or some time next week. New PA YE tables, compiled on the new rates, have been printed and distributed to district offices of the Inland Revenue Department, a department spokesman said They will be issued to Post Offices and employers within | the next couple of weeks.
