TREE PLANTING POSTPONED

The tree-planting ceremony planned for yesterday, Arbor Day, has been postponed to next Wednesday because of recent wet weather. Next Wednesday hundreds of Christchurch schoolchildren will go to the Cashmere Hills, and will plant many shrubs and trees near the Sign of the Takahe. The ceremony is being sponsored by the Summit Road Scenic Society.
