TRADE WITH CHINA
Mission Meets Minister (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 10. “We realise that trade between China and New Zealand is almost negligible and we are here to ascertain what obstacles are in the way.” said Mr W. F. P. Ling, chief of the Chinese trade mission from Formosa to Australia and New Zealand, on his arrival in Wellington this afternoon. The mission will leave tomorrow afternoon by air for Canberra. Mr Ling said the 12-man mission was representative of Chinese manufacturing industries and during t'heir short stay the members would explore trade opportunities witih a view to increasing business between the two countries. This afternoon members of the mission called on the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Marshall) and officials of the departments concerned with industry and trade.
