NICKLAUS TO PLAY IN N.Z.

Appearances In October Jack Nicklaus, winner of the United States open golf championship last week, has contracted to play in New Zealand on his journey to Australia toward the end of October. He lias been engaged by W. D. and H. O. Wills (New Zealand), Ltd., which last year sponsored R. J. Charles in a series of tournaments, to appear in a tournament or matches yet to be decided. Nicklaus, who won the United States amateur championship twice in three years before turning professional last November, is regarded as the greatest prospect in world golf since Bobby Jones.

The length of his stay in New Zealand has not yet been determined.
