Rowing Training For Squad
(NZ. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 7. After a six-week rest from organised training, the 10 members of New Zealand's eight-oar squad for the Empire Games in Perth returned last night to a life of physical and mental conditioning for another four months.
"After that, we believe We will have the finest, toughest rowing crew ever to have represented New Zealand anywhere." the coach, Mr E. Craies, said today. Th) squad will continue to train on the assumption that all 10 will go to Perth and that the final eight to race will not be selected until the eve of the race.
