CYCLIST PINNED UNDER CAR
Dragged Along Road Alter Collision
(NJS. Press Association) NAPIER, May 25. A cyclist was dragged along the road by a car and trapped under it when the vehicle stopped after his cycle and the car collided at 9.15 a.m. today near the corner of Todd street and Wellesley road. Napier. The car had to be jacked up and a front wheel removed before the cyclist. Mr John Simmonds, of Latham street, Napier could be extricated. After the collision, his foot became caught behind the wheel.
Mr Simmonds escaped serious injury. He was taken to Napier Hospital for treatment of minor cuts, abrasions and shock and was later discharged.
