MR T. A. VARLEY
Practice As Fire Consultant (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 25. Mr T. A Varley, formerly chief inspecting officer for the Fire Service Council, will go into private practice on June 1 as a consultant on fire matters. Asked tonight whether the Addington racecourse fire had anything to do with his resignation from the council's service, Mr Varley said there was no connexion. “I completed my investigation into the Addington fire three weeks ago,” he said. "It is now in the hands of the Fire Service Council What it does about it is up to it.”
