“Save The Children” Fund
Sir,—ln reply to "Hands Off’’ and “Hands-off or Funds-off” South Island residents naturally cannot be aw’are of the substantial aid given to the Save the Children Fund by the East Coast Maoris, ttvo notable examples of which were the sharing of a stall at the Hawke’s Bayshow by the Maori Women’s Fellowship and the S.CJ’.. and the donation to the S.C.F. of half of the proceeds of the recent all-Maori production of the Passion play in Hastings. Therefore it is only reasonable that the Hawke’s Bay S.C.F. wish to show their appreciation in a practical form. I am sure that if your correspondents care to write to the secretary of the S.C.F. in Hastings this will be confirmed.—Yours, etc., A SPONSOR. April 17, 1962.
