Inited Bays Red Cross Sub-centre
Officers elected at the an nual meeting of the United Bays .sub-centre of the Red Cross Society were: president. Mrs E Mould; secretary. Mrs T. W Weir; tress urer. Mrs A. G Foreman All present at the meetins were elected to the commit tee.
Activities during the yea; included support of the street appeal and rnarke' with fruit, vegetables, cakes jam and sewing, and th* monthly provision of good) for the Good Neighbour Ser vice One hundred and eighty-four garments. six woo! quilts and 14 knitted quilts were made, and 75 used garments forwarded tc the North Canterbury centre From w’ool and material sup plied by the centre, jerseys bed socks, cotton garments and two layettes for refugee babies in Hong Kong were made.
