Port Labour Short.— Labour was again short on the Lyttelton waterfront yesterday and several vessels were unmanned or only partly manned. Sailings were cancelled as a result. Vessels affected were the Kaimai. Kaitangata, Navua. Gale and Turihaua. The position improved IStef in the day with the departure of the River City and the Devon. The Easter holidays hinder the turnround of vessels, but labour will be working on Saturday for ships that are finishing and sailing that day and they will resume on Tuesday.
