NEW AWARD ISSUED

By-Products Workers Weekly wages have been increased by 6s 8d and hourly rates by 2d under the terms of the Canterbury and Otago and Southland byproducts workers’ award just issued by the Court of Arbitration. The monetary allowance for clothing has been increased from £l3 a year to £l5 where clothing is not supplied. An added clause provides that three weeks’ annual holidays shall be allowed for the fifteenth and subsequent year of continuous employment with the same employer.
