Tea Rooms Award
An unqualified preference clause has been included in the award for the Tea Rooms and Restaurant Employees’ Union. The decision to insert the new clause was arrived at by conciliation and approved by the Court of Arbitration. Tl'ie Court approved increases in the minimum weekly rate of 7s 6d for cocks and 5s lOd for kitchen hands. Other workers were granted increases between 5s 4d to 6s 3d The a,ward came into force on April 13 and will remain in force until October 13. 1963.
