PARKING NEAR STATION
Heathcote Problem To Be Discussed
Cr. J. S. Scott and the County Engineer (Mr I. L. Hall) will meet representatives of the Heathcote Valley Residents’ Association to discuss problems created by the parking of vehicles at the end of Station road, it was decided at a meeting of the Heathcote County Council. The association has twice written to the council complaining that children are endangered by motor-cycles parked on the footpath and parked cars encroaching on the footpath.
The council agreed that obstructing the footpath was an offence against its bylaws.
On the suggestion of the chairman (Mr R. A. Young) it was decided to discuss the problem with the association to reach a solution which would be satisfactory to residents.
