Fencing Team Manager Nominated
(NZ. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Mar. 8. The Amateur Fencing Association intends to nominate its president. Mr M B. Gittos, of Auckland, as managercoach of the Empire Games team, which will be selected after the trials in Auckland on August 4 and 5. Mr Gittos. who began fencing in 1935. won the national foil title in 1949 and represented New Zealand in the 1950 Empire Games. He reached the foil final and was a member of the foil team which won a silver medal. He has been national president since 1959.
