<N Z Press Association) AUCKLAND. Mar. 7. The New Zealand heavyweight weight-lifting champion. D. Oliver, bettered the British Empire record by 61b at Auckland last night. He lifted 4101 b to beat the previous record of A. Shan xs (Australia) and his own New Zealand record of 400Jlb.
