GOLDEN KIWI WINNER
“Hong Kong” Syndicate (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 7. An Auckland syndicate calling itself “Hong Kong" won the £12,000 first prize in the Golden Kiwi No. 12 lottery drawn yesterday. The three men in the syndicate are determined to remain anonymous. • One of them, a New Lynn factory manager, said his telephone was “hot” last night. “I just can’t understand how so many people find out —and often it is the wrong oies.” This man, who is single, went to Hong Kong for his holidays, hence the nom-de-plume.
