Damaged Skip Under Repair
( N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 14.
The storm-damaged 4969ton cargo ship Shun Wah which came into Auckland last Wednesday, is being repaired by an Auckland engineering firm. The ship was travelling from Osaka to Mount Maunganui to load logs when three cracks developed in the shelter decks in heavy weather.
Apology.— The transport department of the Pretoria City Council has apologised to the Japanese Consul because a local bus driver refused to carry a Consular official. British United Press reported.—Pretoria, February 14. *
