Exhibitions For 1962 Because of import licensing difficulties, the Auckland City Art Gallery's sixth senes of touring exhibitions will be smaller than usual. Six exhibitions will be offered to other galleries for showing during 1962. They are: Forty watercolours by Major H. G. Robley (1840-1930*, some of whose work was seen in the recent Maori Wars exhibition. French prints from 1800 to 1920, from the gallery's own collection, showing the development of French printmaking and representing most notable French artists of the period. “The Expatriates” oils, watercolours and drawings by the New Zealand artists of the 1920's who followed their careers in Europe, including Frances Hodgkins. “Early Travellers in New Zealand”—about 40 watercolours and drawings illustrating the journeys of such intrepid travellers as Colenso, Fox, Heaphy and Kinder. Drawings by contemporary American artists. Sixty prints by leading contemporary Italian artists. A selection of 60 paintings produced by New Zealand artists during the previous year.
