Lawn Tennis INVITATION TO TEAM
Rhodesia And Nyasaland (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Feb 12. The New Zealand Davis Cup team has been invited to play in Rhodesia and Nyasaland on its tour this year. The invitation, tabled at tonight's meeting of the NewZealand Lawn Tennis Association management committee, will be considered later, but Rhodesia has been advised it would not be possible to play there before late July. The chairman (Mr F S Ramson) said it was hoped to play matches against various countries on the return journey and thus help to recoup some of the costs, and that the invitation from Rhodesia and Nyasaland would be most favourably looked upon if the time was right.
