New President Elected
( N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA, Feb. 12.
Mr H. M. Parlane (Palmerston North) was today elected president of the New Zealand Master Grocers’ Federation at the annual conference at Wairakei. He will formally assume office on Thursday. Mr Parlane is a former president of the Wairarapa and Manawatu Master Grocers’ Association, and has been in the grocery trade since returning from service with the R.N.Z.A.F. overseas in World War 11. President-elect for next year is Mr H. F. Jackson (Wanganui). Mr J. Nimmo (Auckland) was elected vicepresident for 1962. The council of the federation, to be domiciled in Auckland this year, will be decided in Auckland later this year.
