SISTER MARY ANTHONY

GREYMOUTH, February 11. The dearth occurred at the Convent of Mercy, Greymouth, on Saturday morning, of Elizabeth Fitzpatrick. Sister Mary Anthony. She was born in Sydney and came as a young woman to join the Sisters of Mercy in New Zealand. She was professed in the Auckland Diocese in 1902, and was to celebrate her diamond jubilee this year.
Sister Mary Anthony came to the Convent of Mercy at Greymonth in 1904. and she had lived there since. She was a music teacher of renown, many of her pupils having distinguished themselves in the musical profession in New Zealand and overseas.
Sister Mary Anthony had endeared herself to a large number of her pupils in Greymouth and district.
