Magee Defeated In Marathon
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. February 11. J. L. Julian won his first marathon race on Saturday by sensationally defeating the Olympic bronze medallist. A B. Magee, in the last mile of the Auckland championship race. Julian finished filsec ahead of Magee, who was handicapped by cramp. Times were: Julian, 2hr 24min Msec, Magee 2hr 25min 55sech, and the third man, B. D. Stuart, 2hr 31min 55sec.
