Hid Money In Wooden Leg

GISBORNE, January 17
A man who was found to have part of the money he stole packed under some paper in his wooden leg was convicted on two charges by Mr L. N. Ritchie. SM, in the Magistrate's Court at Gisborne. Francis Harold Gordon Healey, aged 36, pleaded guilty to breaking and entering E R Hovell’s shop at Te Araroa and committing theft He also pleaded guilty to stealing goods valued at £36 10s 2d. the property of Holeproof Mills, Ltd., at Auckland. He was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment.
