PARTY'S BLUNDER
McGillycuddy Only 73 (Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) LONDON. Jan. 17 The National Fellowship, a Right-wing political organisation which is trying to break the postal “go slow’” with its own delivery service has been having its leg severely pulled by newspaper columnists. Among its announced backers are a marquis, a dozen or so barons and a score of knights, hundreds of briga. diers and colonels and the McGillycuddy of the Reeks But the McGillycuddy of the Reeks is a 13-year-old Eton College boy. His mother explained:
’’The fellowship sent a circular to Eton with some sort of political quiz he didn’t understand. He signed the form and sent it back because he thought he was going to get something free” The feilo"-ship admitted it
should have checked before adding the bov’s name to the list of “men and women from all walks of life” among its soon sons But it added “we shan’t disown him now. He w-as interested and signed the form and we are glad to have him.”
