Tingey (New Plymouth) beat Miss R Elliott (Auckland), 36-20. 16-26 26-6: Mr* H Jordan (New Plymouth) beat Mrs F. Flavell (Feilding), 26-14. 10-26 26-11; Mr* R. Eden (New Plymouth) beat Mrs G. Brewer (Auckland). 26-13, 16-26. 26-14.
