Couple Hurt When Car Hit Pole
(N Z. Press Association) ROTORUA, January 7. A married couple was injured, the husband seriously, when their car struck a telegraph pole on the Whaka-tane-Rotorua highway early on Saturday morning. The injured persons are David Jones, aged 31. of Bunnythorpe. Palmerston North, and his wife Barbara, aged 25. Mr Jones, who was driving, received shock and multiple injuries. Mrs Jones’s condition is satisfactory. A second passenger, Mrs Amelia Cole, of Edgecumbe, received minor injuries.
