Ulbricht Expects Settlement
(N.ZJP.A.-Reuter—Copyright) NEW YORK, Jan. 5. The East German Communist leader, Mr Walter Ulbricht, expects a Berlin settlement in 1962. He said in an American television programme last night: “We expect that an agreement wiH be reached in the Four-Power talks about step-by-step reduction of all present occupation forces in West Berlin and ... a step-by-step transformation of West Berlin into a free demilitarised and neutral city.”
