Daisy chains of boys and girls between the ages of three and fodr took part in the tiny tots' parade in front of the Sound Shell on Caroline Bay today. Sixty-three young girls, wearing shirred and frilled bathing costumes circled the lawn before the judge (Mrs C. R. Hervey) and several hundred women and children. Fewer boys (38) entered the contest. The finals were held in the afternoon, when the following placing® were given: Boys, Garry Thin 1, Gerald Conroy 2, Graeme Todd 3. Girls: Lexis Frampton 1, Susanne Leggoe 2, Christine Lock wood 3. Sashes were presented to the winners of each section. The mother and daughter contest was judged in the afternoon and evening. The finals will be decided tomorrow. On Saturday there will be a cavalcade of fashion depicting the changing fashions in bathing styles and costumes. Five vintage motorcars, transporting young women portraying the bathing costumes which have held appeal from 1911 to 1961, will travel from the Hydro Grand Hotel corner at 1.30 p.m. down the Main north road, and through Virtue avenue to the Sound Shell.
