“Excellent” Report (N.Z.PA.-Reuter—Copyright) PALM BEACH (Florida), December 27. President Kennedy was in “excellent general health.” a New York specialist reported today. The specialist Dr. Preston Wade, examined Mr Kennedy today. He treated the President last June when a back oomplaint put him on crutches for a short time The White House said the President's beck was stronger than it was earlier this year, as a result of a programme of exercise, including swimming. However, it would be several more months before the President could resume vigorous physical activity, a spokesman said. The White House doctor. Dr. Janet Travail, also took part in the midday examination at the President's holiday home in Palm Beach. Earlier the President, accompanied by his wife, had drives himself to the hospital where his father. Mr Joseph Kennedy, is reoovering from a stroke followed by paeumonia. The pneumonia wan reported to be improved today. Meanwhile, Administration officials said tie Preet da nt had completed work on the budget for the next fiscal year. It would be balanced, they added. No figures were disclosed, but it was generally expected that the budget would be in the general area at 86.000 million dollars, or about 8000 million dollars higher than that for the current fiscal year, said the Associated Press.
