INJURIES TO HEAD
Man Found At Theatre INZ Press Association/ WELLINGTON, Dec. 20. A young man has been detained by the police after an incident in a Wellington theatre this afternoon. Two police squad cars and an ambulance were rushed to the theatre when an usher rang the police after the film interval at 4.45 pun. The police fbund a storeman. Mr Gerald William Stratton, aged 31, of Buller street. Wellington, lying on the concrete floor of the exit against the door and at the foot of a flight of stairs He was rarely conscious and was suffering from severe head injuries, concussion and shock He was admitted to the Wellington Hospital where his condition this evening was reported to be serious. Inquiries are still proceeding.
