RESCUE BID BY BOYS
Man Dies After Revival
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. December 20. A 43-year-old man died on the Island Bay beach this afternoon after he had twice been revived by teen-age boys who took him from the sea after he got into difficulties. He was: Michael Gordon Templeton a builder, of Island Bay.’ The boys, Wayne Peterson aged 15, Alan White aged 15, and Paul Burrows aged 13, all new members of the Island Bay Surf Club, went to Mr Templeton’s aid about 2 p.m. They applied mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and twice started Mr Templeton breathing. The schaeffer method was used by some members of ’he crowd that had gathered, but Mr Templeton died about an hour after he had been brought ashore.
