Aid For Needy Children A record sum of £6OO was raised for the Save the Children Fund by the Round Table organisation in Chri«tch”'-rh from the sale of about 1500 Christmas trees on Saturday. Gorse Fire About three chains of gorse fence belonging to Mr W. Fraser was burnt at 12.45 pan. on Saturday. No serious damage was done and the fire was brought quickly under control by one unit of the Rangiora Volunteer Fire Brigade The fence runs alongside the Ashley-Sefton road.
