Price Of Local Gin
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Dec. 7. The chairman of directors of the New Zealand Distillery Company (Sir Ernest Davis) said tonight that the de-control of hotel accommodation and liquor prices included products distilled in New Zealand. “I can give an assurance ’that the full benefit, at least of the lower excise duty and sales tax on New Zealanddistilled gin. which amounts to 4s 6d a bottle, will be passed on to the public, whether sold by merchants or through hotel bottle stores or bars,” he said.
