( Activities this week-end * have brought the number of hotel safe robberies in the Auckland district recently to 24 involving £ 16,750. A safe containing about £3OO was stolen from the Grosvenor Hotel, Hobson street, Auckland, early this morning or on Saturday night The theft was discovered 3 by the wife of the licensee, a Mrs B.
