H.M.A.S. Voyager For Lyttelton
A 3600-ton Daring class destroyer, H.M.A.S. Voyager, now taking part in exercises with the Royal New Zeeland Navy, is due at Lyttelton on November 22, where she will stay for four days. On Saturday. November 25, the ship will be open to the public from 1.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. The Resident Naval Officer (LieutenantCommander E. A. Newton) has requested that Christchurch people who want to show hospitality to the Voyager's crew should telephone H.MN.Z.S. Pegasus by Monday morning. The commander of H.M.A.S. Voyager is Captain D. C. Well*, Who assumed command of the ship in September, 1960.
