More Candidates For Trade Exams.
(N2. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 12. The chairman of the New Zealand Trades Cerification Board (Mr W. V. Dayer) said today there had been a record increase in the number of candidates accepted for trade examinations this year. The increase was nearly 1300 more than the number who sat examinations last year. The total number of candidates sitting this year would be about 10,300 spread over 31 trades. This was about eight times the number who sat when the examinations were first held in 1949
