OPERATING THEATRE FOR HORSES.—Veterinary surgeons preparing a horse for an operation at the £40,000 Gladys Yule surgical wing, which was opened recently by the Queen at the Animal Health Trust’s Equine Research Station at Newmarket, Britain’s famous racing centre. It is hoped to save valuable horses which previously would have had to be destroyed. The operating theatre contains an electro-hydraulic table which can be raised to nearly 5ft and tilted at any angle.
