CoUn James Low, aged 24, a workman, pleaded guilty to a charge of concerting a truck and 11 charges of breaking, entering and theft when he appeared before Mr A, A, Coates, Sit, In the Magistrate’s Court at Auckland today. He was convicted and remanded in custody for a probation officer's report and sentence. The police prosecutor (Mr Dallowi said that on the night of September 11 the Huntly Workingmen's Club was broken into and cigarettes and liquor were stolen. Low, interviewed by the police on September 18, said that on the night of September 11 be and three other men converted a truck in Otahuhu and drove to Huntly with the Intention of stealing the dub’s safe. They gained entry to the club, at about 1.30 a.m. on September 12. but found that the safe had already been blown by other offenders the previous nijfht. Low also admitted breaking into 11 other places, laid the prosecutor. Money and property worth a total of £ 1081 was stolen or damaged. Of this, property worth £760 had been recovered.
