Humanity To Animals
Sir,—l always urge that in our civilized not to say Christian life any animal that has to be killed should be deprived of Life in the quickest and least painful way. Recently in your paper I read of phosporised wheat being used and my mind went back to an old rabbiters statement about phosporous poisoning. He said it took three to four days of agony, and their screams were horrible. Surely in these days something more lethal could be used.—Yours, etc., NO UNNECESSARY SUFFERING. October 1, 1961.
