Hairdressing Charges
Sir,—The Soviet Union is not in it with the barbers’ union. Four shillings for six minutes, during which he sold large packets of cigarettes to two sweet young things with quantities of smiles (the barber is young and handsome). He came back and said what a lovely day it was (actually a cold, drizzly southerly blowing). Sir, will you join me and some others in establishing some first-class barbers' saloons, charging 2s, possibly less, good dividends should result. This agression must be coped with. —Yours, etc., W.M.E. October 2. 1961.
