Canterbury Team Congratulated
“I think we must all congratulate the Canterbury team on its unbeaten record this year," the president (Mr H. C. Blazey) told the management committee of the Canterbury Rugby Union last evening.
Mr Blazey said that the team had to work hard for victory at times but it always rose to the occasion. Its games were not easy by any means, and every credit should be given to the team.
The manager of the Canterbury. team which played Wellington last Saturday (Mr S. R. Southall) said that the team had played really well The forwards had been most impressive and after the game the president of the Wellington Rugby Union (Mr H. I Austad) had commented on the spirit and determination of the pack, which was the best he had seen at Wellington that season.
