League TESTS ONLY BY U.K. TEAM
Suggestion To N.Z. Council (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. October 3. The British Rugby league team may play only test matches during a five-matcn tour of Australia and New Zealand next year. The secretary of the New Zealand Rugby League <Mr J. E. Knowling) said a suggestion to this effect had been (received from Britain and I would be discussed at a special meeting of the New I Zealand council on Saturday. I The suggestion is that the British team travel to AusI tralia and New Zealand ! during May and play a test match on each of five successive Saturdays. The first test would be against Australia at Brisbane the second at Sydney and then two against New Zealand in New Zealand and then a third against Australia at Sydney.
N.Z. Itinerary For France (N .Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) PARIS, Oct. 2. The itinerary for the New Zealand Rugby League team in France was announced today by Mr Antoine Blain, general secretary of the French Rugby League, as follows: November 11 —v. France, at Bordeaux. November 16—v. Villeneuve, at Villeneuve. November 16—v. Saint Gaudens. at Saint Gaudens. November 19 Second test, at Perpignan. November 23 v. Tou-louse-Albi selection, at Toulouse. November 27—v. Provence selection, at Cavilion. December 3—v. Roanne, at Roanne. December 9 or 10—Third and last test, at Paris. Wi'h the exception of the match in Paris, all the games will be played in south-west territories where the gates are expected to be bigger than in the north.
