BURNSIDE PARK PAVILION
Union Asked To Assist A letter from the Waimairi County Council which asked if the union would be prepared to contribute towards the cost of a pavilion at Burnside Park was received by the management committee of the Canterbury Rugby Union last evening. The letter said that the council has been approached by the Canterbury Football Association on the question of erecting a pavilion at the park, as the High School Old Boys soccer club had been allocated grounds in the park The letter asked if the union would be prepared to be associated with the project. Several members of the committee said they had felt that the Rugby union had done enough, but after a short discussion it was decided that the committee would be prepared to meet the council, with other sporting bodies, to discuss the matter further.
