W.R.A.C. TROPHY AWARDED
Recruit From Tokoroa
Private O. M. O’Brien, of Tokoroa. has been awarded the Gray Memorial Trophy as the most outstanding recruit on the 33rd recruit course held recently at Burnham Camp for the New Zealand Women's Royal Army Corps. Private O'Brien has been posted to the dental section at Pspakura Camp. The engraved silver rote oowi trophy was given bj « former officer of the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (the original Territorial unit which later became the N.Z. WXAC.) in memory of Senior Commander (Major) Elsie Gray, who died in December, Ifofi Major Gray served with the NX Army in both world wars. The trophy will be kept at Burnham in the New Zealand W.R.A.C . recreation room and awarded to the best recruit on each course. Each winner will receive a certificate and have her name inscribed on the oak honours board specially made for their sister corps by cifim <4 the New Zealend Electrical and Mechamcal Engineers in the Souther?
